I asked some of the actors for miracles before, during/or after the shoot. Chars Bonin (playing Angel Jack) had a wonderful story:
I had the opportunity just before Easter to play the part of Jesus for an Easter Cantata drama. I’ve said before that I always appreciate having a chance to play Jesus, as I feel the positive effects for weeks after I play the role. I feel holy, and am a better man for it every time I get that opportunity. But this time was a little different, since I’m usually doing it for film and I don’t get to see the affect I have on others. I made a conscious choice to go out of my way to touch and make eye contact with every child I could. I had two experiences I want to share with you. The first was during the performance. There was a cute little girl in a wheelchair that I got to walk by several times. Each time I touched her shoulder and smiled directly into her gaze, and each time I thought she was going to bounce out of her chair with excitement. The second moment happened after Jesus had been crucified and I was in the back of the church waiting for my grand entrance after Jesus is RISEN! I was trying to remain unseen when I saw a grandparent approaching with a 3 or 4 year old girl. They walked up to me (the girl sort-of hiding behind his leg) and he said “She really needs a hug.” It really helped me realize just how special Jesus is to children. They see so clearly who Jesus is, and believe wholeheartedly that he loves us.
