Saved by Love

While I trusted God and moved forward to create the”appetizer” – trailer you see on our home page, my dear brother, Richard, kept calling me and saying things like: “I get the feeling you’re going to need more money, so I’m sending some today.” I actually had about $3,000 at the beginning and thought that would be plenty, but even on a slim budget, costs kept coming in. But I never had to stress about it, since Richard was listening to God himself and sending me the money before I even knew I needed it! Thank you, dear Brother, for your great love for me and for God. By the way, it ended up costing $12,000 for that 4 minute piece, so I really hope you enjoy it!

Opt In For Gratitude!

I was asking God for guidance on how to find an honest, ethical mailing list company that would have my target market and had a clearly opt-in list. That very same day as I did research for ads to place after the pilot was done, I got an inner feeling to call Reader’s Digest about on-line advertising. And my ad rep, Nora, bless her heart, started telling me about a great alternative, their opt-in mailing list! I was so excited, because if there is any company I would trust to have a clean, honest-to-goodness opt-in mail list, and with my perfect target market to boot, it would be RD. Thank you, God….another daily miracle, and I hope to never take them for granted.

A Walking Miracle . . . Between the Raindrops

A rainy day is so common here in the midwest this summer and I really needed a walk to break up the monotony of a long drive and give my body an energizer. Yet, I thought there must be a break in this weather somewhere. So I waited until my inner guidance kicked in and I hear that still small voice say, “this town.” It was Hutchinson, MN, a lovely town with a park along a river. But I didn’t know that. All I knew was that almost as soon as I parked the car where I was guided to turn, and I stepped outside, the sun appeared! Talk about Divine Timing! I was so grateful. I saw this beautiful river walk and explored it gleefully, since I still had time and was close to home. I walked a bit too far, since I was giddy over the lack of rain, and almost got lost, but God sent me two strangers (and angels, no doubt!) to guide me back to my car. Once I was safely ensconced, believe it or not, the rain began once again and did not let up the rest of the day!

Miraculous Dream Home

From another dear friend:

“After having my baby later in life, I wanted to be much closer to family. Since we had family in several states, my husband asked God to show us where we could move that would make us ‘more’ than what we were already. He then found an ad for a great job in Chicago and it matched his resume’ point by point. He got the job! But how would we be able to buy a new home when our condo wouldn’t sell? God told us to trust and that all would be taken care of. Well, it’s amazing how it was taken care of. In a dream some time before all this I saw my dream home, but it was in the country. My husband thought that home would not be possible working in such a huge metropolis. How could we possibly live in the country? But guess what? That’s exactly where we ended up. A lovely home in a country setting that people were lined up to look at, literally, and we were the first ones in line! But it wasn’t until we’d been there a few months that I realized this home had been the one in my dream!”

There are more miracles to this story, folks, so stay tuned.

Star Walk

From a sweet friend in Seattle:

“I was walking with my daughter who wasn’t very happy about her losing season in basketball. She had been questioning her ability and her confidence was way down. We’d been hearing the term” all-star” lately, but my daughter certainly didn’t think it applied to her in any way. But then a man walked up to us and started singing directly to her: ‘Hey now, you’re an all-star, get your game on, go play!’ This is a famous Shrek song. After that, we kept running into stars of one kind or another on our walk. She got that something was happening, even though she doesn’t have the close connection with God that I have in a conscious way. And it gets better; she was voted the most valuable player for the year!”

Thank you, Lori!

Miracle of Simple Gratitude

My brother lives in a town that’s mostly polluted with sugar beet processing, so his miracle was that he woke up to fresh spring air after several days of rain. He was breathing in the clean air happily when I called and felt like that was a miracle in itself!

The Interfaith Miracle

I was so excited to find an interfaith organization while looking for a non-profit to partner with for Soul Survivors TV launch, and to hear what one of the team members had to say about my concept:

“It’s wonderful if we can meet at any level, and angels are one where we can meet and still maintain the mystery of our own faith.” She struck a very deep chord in me, making me feel ever-more grateful for this project and the potential to touch people of all faiths with the eternal message of hope, faith, and love.

The Miraculous Beauty of Inner Guidance:

Driving toward my Memorial Day Weekend destination (a five hour drive), I yearned to see some green as I ate my picnic breakfast. I drove through a little town called Silver Lake and asked God where the local park might be. A very clear inner voice said, “Turn here!” It took me a moment, but I was able to listen and follow the direction. I would never have seen this adorable little gem of a park from the main road, but as I turned, there it was!

I enjoyed the lovely greenery and the children playing early in the day as I ate my breakfast, marveling at how much God loves us, to honor a simple request such as mine.

Spirit Finds the Best Producer for Moving Forward!

Miracles abound in my life because I do my best (don’t always succeed!) to see everything as miraculous. The lessons as well as the wonderful, happy things, like finding a new producer who would be an incredible example of compassion with organization for the entire cast and crew! Wayne Olson is so gifted, intelligent and caring, organized and skilled at management, that I will feel very comfortable with his command of Soul Survivors TV production. I just have to trust that God will send us the money we need for production before the rest of the film and TV world find out how great he is and snap him up! Stay tuned….

Miracles in Acting

I asked some of the actors for miracles before, during/or after the shoot. Chars Bonin (playing Angel Jack) had a wonderful story:

I had the opportunity just before Easter to play the part of Jesus for an Easter Cantata drama. I’ve said before that I always appreciate having a chance to play Jesus, as I feel the positive effects for weeks after I play the role. I feel holy, and am a better man for it every time I get that opportunity. But this time was a little different, since I’m usually doing it for film and I don’t get to see the affect I have on others. I made a conscious choice to go out of my way to touch and make eye contact with every child I could. I had two experiences I want to share with you. The first was during the performance. There was a cute little girl in a wheelchair that I got to walk by several times. Each time I touched her shoulder and smiled directly into her gaze, and each time I thought she was going to bounce out of her chair with excitement. The second moment happened after Jesus had been crucified and I was in the back of the church waiting for my grand entrance after Jesus is RISEN! I was trying to remain unseen when I saw a grandparent approaching with a 3 or 4 year old girl. They walked up to me (the girl sort-of hiding behind his leg) and he said “She really needs a hug.” It really helped me realize just how special Jesus is to children. They see so clearly who Jesus is, and believe wholeheartedly that he loves us.
