From Wayne, Production Assistant for Soul Survivors trailer:
“What I remember the most about the time on the set of Soul Survivors was the incredible sense of the energy from the team that had assembled around the creative idea. Each person I came across on set was energetic, enthusiastic and glad to be a part of the production. Every person took the responsibility of helping each other with kindness and care. It was so fun watching as we all brought our skills to bear. With such a rich source of inspiration from Debbie Johnson, it was an easy next step to get it from script to production. My role, as script supervisor, allowed me to interact with the talented group of actors as well; which was a new experience for me; so from a selfish standpoint, I was thrilled with having a great group of on-screen talent to work with.
I remember all of our discussions about how to capture the best shot, and Ben Kryzer, the Director of Photography, really pulled it together with his creative thinking and dedication to his craft. At one point, I think the wind chill was about -15 outside and we had to wait till dark to get a particular outside shot – since I also was helping as a set PA it was my job to hold a piece of equipment that felt like it was a giant sail! But…with the professionalism that we all expect, we hunkered down and got the shot we needed, despite the cold! It was a testament to the dedication of the entire crew in helping to bring together this first, exciting step for Soul Survivors!”
